Imagine waking on a crisp, white Christmas morning to the smell of baking croissants and freshly-brewed coffee. After a leisurely breakfast with bucks fizz to start the festivities you open presents with your loved ones beside the Christmas tree in front of the fire before heading out to the snowy slopes to ski (everything is open for business as usual at the resort over the holiday period).
Tea and Christmas cake await your return. You take a relaxing dip in the hot-tub before changing for dinner. We serve the works at the Auberge – roast turkey with stuffing, roast potatoes and all the traditional trimmings, followed by a flaming Christmas pudding with brandy cream, all washed down with our excellent AOC house wines. Round off the day with coffee and mince pies in front of the fire, and perhaps a cognac or whisky or two to help you wind down after all the excitement.
New Year’s Eve is party night at the Auberge, exclusively for our resident guests. We start with canapés and mulled wine in the bar, followed by a 4 course gourmet dinner. Our party bags, with funny hats, whistles & blowers, streamers and the infamous cotton “snowball” fight lead us up to midnight with champagne and fireworks on the terrace, followed by dancing for those with any energy left.
And the best thing is that all the hard work is taken care of by our team of professional staff, leaving you with nothing to do but enjoy the festive season however the fancy takes you.
The Auberge is the perfect venue for an off-piste course, as it offers easy access to some of the best off-piste or back-country ski terrain in Europe.
Sainte Foy has deservedly built up a reputation as an iconic off-piste resort and has become a must-ski destination for dedicated powder hounds. While skiers with some off-piste experience will enjoy some of the classic descents such as the North Face of Fogliettaz and Col Grenier, the easily accessible, gentle powder fields between the piste runs offer an ideal training ground for powder “pups” new to the delights of off-piste skiing.
Our proximity to the neighbouring mega-circuits of the Espace Killy, Paradiski and the Espace San Bernardo offers a huge choice of ski terrain, allowing your instructor to find the best possible ski conditions each day.
The area also offers a huge choice of ski touring routes, from the gentle climb to the village of Le Crôt to the epic ascent of the Archeboc.
Click on the links to find details of courses based at the Auberge run by our main off-piste partner Mountain Tracks, as well as Snoworks & Ski Club Freshtracks.
The Auberge is the perfect size to accommodate a group of friends or an extended family group. We offer special group discounts and bonuses for party leaders in return for all the hard work of organising the group.
We do everything we can to make things as easy as possible for you. We can collect your group from the airport or rail station and transport you to the different resorts during your stay. We can lay on special entertainment such as wine tastings, off-piste guiding, dog-sledding or heli-skiing, or organise a party to celebrate that special event, such as a wedding anniversary or special birthday.
We are also a great venue for a corporate seminar, hospitality or team-building trip. Our dining room can be transformed into a comfortable meeting room and the Den has a large, flat-screen TV, DVD and video player, which can make it an ideal venue for multi-media presentations.
We can organise team-bonding group activities such as heli-skiing or dog-sledding in winter, and white water rafting or paragliding in summer.
In short, we’ll do everything possible to ensure your group stay is a success, whatever the occasion.
